Suva’s General Terms of Use

This page gives an overview of Suva’s Terms of Use, where you will find detailed information on data collection, data processing and how you can withdraw your consent for your data to be used.

1. Data collection and usage

When using this product/registering on our website or signing up for a course, event, competition or newsletter, or using our online services (hereinafter referred to as “services”), we may evaluate personal user data and set up personalised customer profiles.

By signing up for or using this product, you agree that we may use your data to show you personalised content and send you targeted information based on your individual customer profile. On the basis of the data you use, you can also be assigned a user category, which provides content in line with your personal interests and is addressed in a way that is suitable for you within the scope of Suva's communication

In addition, we can access applicable data sets about you (e.g. master data, registration data, usage data in accordance with the Privacy Notice) that are already available to Suva and that serve the purposes prescribed here and incorporate these data sets into our data processing activities as prescribed here. You consent to the linking and usage of this data by accepting these Terms of Use.

By consenting to these Terms of Use, you agree for tracking technology to be used to analyse personal reading and user behaviour. This technology allows us to better understand your preferences, values and interests and to offer you content, recommendations and information that is as relevant and tailored to your needs as possible.

Your privacy and the protection of your personal data is our top priority and we undertake to handle this information with the utmost confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

3. Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent to the use of personal data and the usage of tracking technology at any time by contacting webtracking@suva.ch. The link to the relevant page is at the footer of every newsletter.

4. Exclusion of liability

Suva is not liable for damages which arise from using the product or from using the information contained in it. Suva does not guarantee that the content provided is accurate, complete or up-to-date and waives any liability for direct or indirect damages which result from the use of the product.

5. Data protection and information security

We undertake to take appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee the safety of your personal data and to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, changes or destruction.

6. Transfer to third parties

We do not transfer your personal data to third parties, unless it is required by law or necessary for the fulfilment of a purpose for which you have made your data available to us. We refer to our Privacy Notice at suva.ch/en.

7. Changes to the Terms of Use

We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use for the product at any time. We will inform you of any key changes and ask for your consent if there is a legal requirement to do so.
